- Scenic design for the Seminar and the two-storey networking area
To mark the merger between Q_PERIOR and Wavestone, the event agency La Lune Rousse chose us to design the scenography for ‘Together as One’, the seminar marking this important milestone for the two companies. The challenge was to visually merge the two identities, bring the teams closer together and symbolise this union through a veritable symphonic show performed by around twenty musicians, led by the iconic conductor Uèle Lamore. Our scenography transformed the Grand Amphithéâtre of the Palais des Congrès in Paris into an immersive sensory experience for the 4,500 participants from 17 countries. Discover the result in video:
We designed a metal structure to act as an adaptable framework for the show, creating effects of perspective, transparency and visual surprises. To do this, we used 6 structures ranging in height from 2.50m to 6m, covered on the front with dark grey tulle fabric and the edges marked with LED strips. A central screen completed the scenography, transforming the stage into a veritable artistic playground for a mix of videos broadcast on the LED screen and video projections on the tulles… it was magic!
We used grey translucent tulle to give the blocks a flexible dimension, creating effects of depth. Depending on the lighting and the viewing angle, the blocks – as well as the musicians on stage – seem to appear or disappear as the show progresses creating mystery and visual surprises for a truly revelatory effect.
LED strips integrated along the edges of the blocks reinforced the energy of the show. This lighting gave prominence to the contours of the structures, producing lighting effects which accentuated effects of transparency. It created a dynamic and ever-changing artistic and visual atmosphere.
The experiential scenography of the ‘Together as One’ event symbolised the merger of the two companies, with Wavestone’s mauve and Q_PERIOR’s green gradually blending to create a common blue. Thanks to fine control of the permanent interactions between light and matter, music and images, the corporate event became a truly iconic show!
