Exhibition the treatment of radioactive waste at the Andra Industrial Centre

Andra’s second site is a centre for research on the storage of highly sensitive radioactive waste, buried at very great depths. The primordial requirement for treating this waste is the study, understanding and control of the geological environment. This aspect naturally became the guiding theme for the stage design.
The décor is inspired by the aesthetics of strata and contour lines, and the partitions and furnishings echo these mineralogical codes. The colour code conveyed by a clean-lined design echoes the cutting-edge field of science and technology: metal, black, white and red.
Contrasting with the bedrock, the curves of the furniture and printed facets evoke the undulating landscape of the site, while setting off the educational content.
