L’Oréal “Extravaganza” Summer Party

To foster a sense of unity, L’Oréal put on a huge evening event bringing together over 8,000 employees from the Paris region. The challenge was to create a unforgettable visual and immersive experience embodying the values of the Group.
Our idea? To take a selection of iconic Parisian landmarks and offer guests a view of Paris as they’d never seen it before.

Welcome to the Summer Party Extravaganza!

Even transformed, the Louvre Pyramid remains instantly recognisable. Here, we sliced it in half to create an intriguing, illuminated pathway through the monument. Inside, guests were enveloped in a protective cocoon, engaged in a unique experience, dancing to the rythms of a “silent party”.

Through this central passageway, in direct perspective, we could see an Eiffel Tower overlooking the Seine.
Only the lower part of our capital’s symbol was built. This created an optical illusion leaving the imagination to fill in the gaps and conjure up the complete Eiffel Tower, affirming its undeniable presence and significance in the collective consciousness.

The highest point of the set design was of course the Sacré-Coeur, which we reimagined as part of a 2D diorama. To capture L’Oréal’s ultra-graphic, chic and modern vibe, we opted for a black & white illustration of the monument. The added bonus was the presence of fashion designers sketching guests in the manner of a stylist, a nod to the caricaturists seen on the “Place du Tertre”.

An oversized version of Buren’s Columns was also created for the occasion. They set the scene for the bar area where guests could wander among the giant columns, immersed in a universe of distorted reality.
